Fisher & Paykel Evora – Nasal CPAP Mask

The CapFit headgear is worn like a cap rather than as a classic mask with side straps. You slide it on, adjust to comfort, and the cushion sits under the nose. This approach simplifies fitting, even in the dark, and reduces pressure points from over-tight straps. Ideal for intuitive users.

The F&P Evora comes in four sizes: Small, Medium, Large and Wide. The cushion sits under the nose, so measurement is taken at the base of the nostrils. Fisher & Paykel offers a printable template. When in doubt, Medium fits most adult morphologies. Wide is intended for wider nostrils rather than overall larger faces.

The Evora suits nasal breathers wanting a compact, minimalist mask, claustrophobic patients, and active sleepers (back, side or stomach). The under-the-nose cushion avoids any pressure on the nasal bridge, which reduces red marks. It is also a good choice for first-time CPAP users who fear a bulky mask.

The Evora is a pure nasal mask. Mouth breathing leaks therapeutic pressure and reduces treatment efficacy. A CPAP chin strap may be enough in mild cases. If the mouth clearly opens, a full face mask like the Evora Full Face or AirFit F20 is better. Ask your sleep physician before any change.

The F&P Evora uses a standard 22 mm connector, compatible with almost every CPAP: AirSense 10, AirSense 11, DreamStation 2, Loewenstein Prisma, Fisher & Paykel SleepStyle. It is not directly compatible with the ResMed AirMini which uses a specific proprietary connector. The elbow is quiet thanks to laser-drilled ports.

Rinse the cushion every morning in warm soapy water (neutral soap). Once a week, hand wash the CapFit headgear with mild soap, rinse and air dry. Do not use alcohol, bleach or a dishwasher. Plan 3 to 6 months for the cushion and 6 to 12 months for the headgear depending on wear and care.
