Frequently asked questions
Technically yes, the AirMini delivers the same therapy quality as an AirSense. However, its HumidX humidification is designed for short periods and is more expensive long-term. Most of our customers use it as a secondary travel CPAP and keep an AirSense 11 or another stationary model at home. This combination remains the most cost-effective over time.
No. The AirMini only works with selected ResMed masks via a specific connection kit: AirFit N20, AirFit F20, AirFit P10 AirMini and AirFit N30 AirMini. The dedicated AirMini tubing is part of the kit. You must choose your mask and its AirMini kit separately when ordering. Masks from other brands are not compatible.
Yes. The AirMini is accepted as a medical device in the cabin on all airlines. At 300 g and 13 x 12 x 4.5 cm, it fits in the included pouch or in a carry-on bag. To use it during the flight, notify the airline 48 hours in advance and bring your medical prescription.
HumidX is a heat and moisture exchanger (HME) placed between the tubing and the mask. It captures moisture from your exhaled air to add it back to inhaled air. No water chamber is required, making it ideal for travel. Two versions exist: standard HumidX for normal use, HumidX Plus for dry climates or altitude. Replace every 30 days.
Not as standard. The AirMini plugs into mains via its included universal 100-240 V power supply. For camping, off-grid, or long flights, compatible external batteries exist (Medistrom Pilot 24, EXP Pro). Expect about 1 to 2 nights of autonomy depending on the battery model and your prescribed pressure. Contact our team for compatible options.
The AirMini connects via Bluetooth to the AirMini App (iOS and Android). You find your sleep score, usage hours, AHI, and leak data. History goes back 30 days. Unlike AirSense devices, the AirMini has no on-device screen: everything runs through the app, which also handles comfort settings.
The AirMini comes with a 2-year ResMed manufacturer warranty on the device. Accessories (mask, AirMini kit, HumidX) have their own terms based on normal wear. HumidX is a consumable to renew every 30 days. In case of failure, VivaRespire handles the exchange or repair directly with ResMed on presentation of your invoice.
