ResMed AirTouch N20 – Nasal CPAP Mask

The AirTouch N20 uses an UltraSoft memory foam cushion, softer and less marking on the skin. The AirFit N20 uses an InfinitySeal silicone cushion, more durable and easier to clean. Both cushions fit the same frame, so you can switch between them based on skin sensitivity or cleaning routine.

The UltraSoft cushion is particularly suited to sensitive skin, to users prone to redness and marks around the nose, and to those sleeping long hours with their CPAP. The foam better follows facial irregularities and tolerates small positioning variations. It is also a good choice for patients who stopped CPAP because of irritation.

The AirTouch foam cushion is a consumable with a shorter life than silicone. Plan for around 1 month of regular use per cushion, sometimes a bit more depending on humidification and hygiene. Replacement signs: durable foam compression, leaks, or stains that do not come off with gentle rinsing.

The UltraSoft cushion is not cleaned like a silicone cushion. Wipe it every morning with a slightly damp cloth, without soaking or rubbing harshly. Avoid harsh soaps, alcohol, dishwashers and any product that could degrade the foam. The frame and headgear are hand washed normally with mild soap.

The AirTouch N20 uses a standard 22 mm connector, compatible with almost all CPAPs: AirSense 10, AirSense 11, DreamStation, DreamStation 2, Loewenstein Prisma and more. It is not directly compatible with the ResMed AirMini, which uses a proprietary connector. Magnetic clips can be contraindicated if you wear certain implants.

The AirTouch N20 uses the same sizes as the AirFit N20: Small, Medium and Large. If you already wear an AirFit N20 in a given size, get the same AirTouch size. Otherwise, use the ResMed sizing template (printable or from your supplier). Medium suits most adult men, Small suits finer faces.
