Automatic CPAP with intelligent pressure regulation

The prisma SMART from Löwenstein Medical is an Auto CPAP (APAP) device designed for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea. It automatically adjusts therapy pressure throughout the night according to the patient’s needs.

Two pressure regulation options are available in APAP mode:

• Standard: conventional pressure adjustment
• Dynamic: more responsive adjustment depending on patient sensitivity

Differentiation of respiratory events

Thanks to Forced Oscillation Technology (FOT), the prisma SMART distinguishes between obstructive and central events and avoids unnecessary pressure increases during central events. It also detects Cheyne-Stokes respiration patterns.

Advanced breathing comfort

• softPAP: exhalation pressure relief at the beginning of expiration
• softSTART: gradual pressure increase to facilitate falling asleep
• Ultra-quiet operation (~26 dB at 10 cm H₂O)

Smart user interface

Operation is intuitive thanks to a uniform control concept, clearly structured menus and a large, easy-to-read LED display.

Modern connectivity

Multiple interfaces allow therapy data transfer:

Compatible with prismaTS, prisma APP and prisma CLOUD software solutions for flexible and secure therapy monitoring.

Humidification compatibility

The prisma SMART can be combined with the optional prismaAQUA heated humidifier to warm and humidify breathing air, reducing airway dryness.
