The HumidAir 11 Cleanable is the official ResMed heated humidifier designed for AirSense™ 11 CPAP devices. It humidifies the air delivered during therapy to improve comfort and help reduce dryness of the nose and mouth.
When used together with the ClimateLineAir™ 11 heated tubing and the device’s Climate Control feature, the HumidAir 11 automatically adjusts temperature and humidity levels to provide a more comfortable therapy experience and help limit condensation (rainout) in the circuit.

Cleaning and maintenance

Which CPAP is it compatible with?
The HumidAir 11 Cleanable fits ResMed AirSense 11 AutoSet, including its AutoSet for Her mode, and Elite devices. It is not compatible with AirSense 10 (which uses the HumidAir II), AirCurve 10 or AirMini. Verify your model before purchase.
Difference between Cleanable and Standard?
The Cleanable version fully disassembles and is dishwasher safe (max 55°C). It lasts several years with proper care. The Standard version is hand-wash only with a shorter lifespan. Cleanable is the durable option for everyday use.
How often should the chamber be replaced?
With proper care, expect a lifespan of 12 to 18 months. Replace the chamber if you see cracks, embedded scale, black mould spots or persistent odours after washing. Hard water shortens lifespan: prefer distilled water.
How do I clean and disinfect?
Empty the chamber every morning and rinse with clean water. Once a week, disassemble and wash with warm water and mild detergent. The Cleanable is dishwasher safe (top rack, max 55°C). Once a week you may replace the detergent with a solution of one part vinegar to nine parts water at room temperature, the ratio ResMed specifies for the AirSense 11. Never wash above 55°C.
Which water should I use?
Distilled water is strongly recommended: no scale, no minerals, no premature wear. ResMed also accepts tap water, but boiled and then cooled to room temperature, as well as bottled water low in minerals. Tap water used as it comes leaves limescale deposits that shorten chamber life. Non-sterile household demineralised water must be avoided.
How do I install the chamber?
Lift the front cover of your AirSense 11. Slide the HumidAir 11 chamber into its slot until it clicks. The machine automatically detects the humidifier and activates the matching menu. Fill with distilled water to MAX line before each night.
Is the humidifier essential?
Not mandatory, but very useful against nasal dryness, dry mouth on waking and congestion. Most CPAP patients consider it essential. Paired with the ClimateLineAir 11 tube, it activates Climate Control for maximum comfort on AirSense 11.
