What Actually Changes Between the Two Models
1. Automatic data transmission
The most significant addition of the AirSense 11 is automatic data transmission. Your therapy data leaves the device on its own each night, with no network for you to configure. On the AirSense 10, syncing depended on the module fitted to your version, and often on your smartphone being nearby.
2. AutoSet Algorithm
Both devices drive the pressure with the same algorithm, AutoSet. ResMed publishes no figures comparing the two generations, and the manuals give none. For the vast majority of users the therapeutic result is the same: this is not where the choice between the two models is settled.
3. Improved myAir and ecosystem
The myAir app paired with the AirSense 11 offers richer features: more advanced personalised coaching, smart notifications and a refined therapy score. The digital experience is overall smoother.
4. Non-backwards-compatible accessories
AirSense 10 accessories (tube, humidifier) are not compatible with the AirSense 11, and vice versa. If you upgrade to the 11, budget for new accessories.

Not necessarily. If your AirSense 10 works perfectly and your results are good, there is no urgency to change. The AS11 mainly brings automatic data transmission, a slightly refined AutoSet algorithm and a richer myAir app. For a first purchase or if your AS10 is 5 years old or more, switching to the AS11 makes sense. For an early replacement, the added value stays modest.
No. The AirSense 10 remains an excellent device, but ResMed has discontinued it and we can no longer order it: its page stays online for its consumables and for the patients who own one. Its AutoSet algorithm is mature and proven. It lacks automatic transmission but keeps Bluetooth and SD card data access. For a patient prioritising affordability and not needing automatic sync, the AS10 remains a relevant choice in 2026.
ResMed has not announced an official end-of-support date for the AirSense 10. Consumables (filters, tubes, HumidAir 10 humidifier, cushions) remain broadly available and likely will be for several more years. CPAP manufacturers usually maintain spare parts support well beyond the commercial life of the model. No imminent risk of sudden discontinuation.
The second-hand CPAP market is very limited in Belgium for hygiene reasons (medical device). Peer-to-peer resale is loosely regulated and the asking price will typically be well below new. If your AS10 is recent and in good condition, it keeps value for personal use (travel backup, family loan). For pure resale, expect a fraction of the new price at best.
AirFit and AirTouch masks move seamlessly from AS10 to AS11. However, the ClimateLineAir 10 tube and HumidAir 10 humidifier are not compatible with AS11. You will need to buy the ClimateLineAir 11 and HumidAir 11. Both tubs are dishwasher-safe, the 10 as much as the 11. Keep your old accessories if you retain the AS10 as a backup device.
The AS11 costs more than the AS10; today's gap is the one shown on the two product pages. If you are buying your first CPAP, the difference is easily justified by automatic transmission, the enhanced myAir ecosystem and a 5 to 7 year usage horizon. If you are replacing a recent, well-functioning AS10, the extra cost is harder to justify. Weigh it against your real need for automatic connectivity.
